Khal Drogo and his bloodriders: Qotho, Cohollo and Haggo

"Qoy Qoyi (Blood of my blood)"
―The style of address between Khal and bloodrider.[src]

A bloodrider is a Dothraki warrior who has pledged his life in the service of a khal: his blood is the khal's own blood.

Known Bloodriders

To Khal Drogo

To Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen

History

Season 1

Qotho, Cohollo, and Haggo serve as Drogo's bloodriders.[1]

Season 2

Daenerys sends her three bloodriders, Rakharo, Kovarro, and Aggo to ride away until they find a city or the sea.[2]

In the books

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the title of bloodrider carries great prestige within a khalasar. Bloodriders seat next to the Khal in feasts and ceremonies. They may also share the Khal's wife, but never his horse. A bloodrider may also be a ko, commanding a subdivision of the khalasar.

If a khal is killed, bloodriders are expected to avenge him. Once done, their last service is to escort the Khaleesi to Vaes Dothrak to join the Dosh khaleen. Then they are to join the khal in death.
