Use of Tenses[]
Hello, I'm a new member and huge fan of this sight and the GoT series... I was just wondering, wouldn't it be better if past events in character bios was refered to in the past tense (eg. "is" to "was")?... This refers to events coinciding with what has occured in the series itself, and perhaps all deceased character to be refered to in the past tense as well?... -- D!ABLO-32 (talk) 10:41, December 18, 2012 (UTC)
- It's not just for characters. Wikis are, generally, written in fist person. I've reverted your edit to "Drogo".--The Dragon Demands (talk) 03:46, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
- That is not true (at least to my knowledge). Wikias and Wikipedias are basically online encyclopedias. Most wikias I've seen edit their Character pages in the third-person from multiple neutral viewpoints... In other words, they are edited in different narrative viewpoints and read like encyclopedias instead of diaries. -- D!ABLO-32 (talk) 05:50, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Many wikis, such as Harry Potter and Wookiepedia do use past tense, as their articles are written from an in-universe point-of-view (characters like Darth Vader are treated as historical individuals). This wiki, however, is written as a guide for viewers of the show. Therefore, Drogo is still a fictional character in Game of Thrones, albeit a dead one, hence the use of present tense. Since we're technically in "season 2 tense" (since season 3 has not yet been screened), wouldn't it be more convenient for all season 1 events to written in the past tense, like what they do in Narutopedia (naruto wikia) where all previous arcs are refered to in the past tense?... Or perhaps the way they do it in the Supernatural wikia where all deceased characters are refered to in past tense?... -- D!ABLO-32 (talk) 19:54, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
- If we're speaking in terms of convenience then surely the tense should simply be left as it is, which, in my honest opinion, is perfectly fine. The Knight of the Flowers 14:59, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
Why?[]
Does anyone know why many major characters are no longer on this page?

This is being updated.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 22:15, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
So should we start re-adding characters?
