Cynda Lannister is an unseen character mentioned in the second season. Cynda is the mother of Ser Alton Lannister.
Biography
Background
Cynda Lannister is a member of a lesser branch of House Lannister and the mother of Ser Alton Lannister.
Season 2
While in the Stark's stockade, Ser Alton says to Jaime, that his mother is Cynda Lannister. Jaime can't remember her, and asks if she's the fat one. Ser Alton admits she's got a little rounder with the years, and Jaime says there only one fat Lanniser and he would know it, if she was. Jaime uses the reminiscences to draw Alton closer to him. He then murders Alton to facilitate an escape attempt.[1]
In the books
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, there is no character named Cynda Lannister.
