Donald Sumpter (born 13 February 1943) is a British actor who has worked regularly since 1966. He has appeared twice in Doctor Who and once in its spin-off, The Sarah-Jane Adventures. He recently had a major role as Kemp, the primary antagonist in the second season of Being Human, and has also been cast as Pythol in the long-awaited Warhammer 40,000 film Ultramarines: The Movie.
He portrayed framed murder suspect Alexander Bonaparte Cust in an episode of Agatha Christie's Poirot.
In Game of Thrones Sumpter is playing Maester Luwin. He was announced in the role on 20 October 2009. He initially appeared as a guest star in the first season and returned in this role for the second season.
