Ellaria Sand is character that will debut in the fourth season.[1] She is the paramour of Oberyn Martell of Dorne, portrayed by Pedro Pascal.[2]
She and Oberyn are unmarried, but she rides with him as if she is his lady.
In the books
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, Ellaria Sand is the paramour of Prince Oberyn Martell. With him, she has mothered four young bastard daughters, part of a collective of all of Oberyn's eight bastards called the Sand Snakes. Their daughters are called Elia, Obella, Dorea and Loreza Sand.
She is described as not explicitly beautiful, though still attractive and eye-catching, with an exotic, sensuous flair. She has black hair. Like her partner Oberyn, she expresses sexual interest in both women and men.
