"I don’t want to sign up for this part and find out that I like die or have to get naked two episodes down the line (laughs) as sometimes happens, and so I looked at all of my parts in the books because my character accompanies Bran. … There’s so much rich description of all of the characters and it’s actually incredibly useful as an actor, to be able to read that and be like, "Great! Thanks! Thanks, George R.R. Martin. You’ve done all the work for me!""
Ellie Kendrick on playing Meera Reed[1]

Eleanor Lucy V. Kendrick, born June 6, 1990 in London, England, UK, is an actress based in the UK.

In Game of Thrones she plays Meera Reed. She was announced as a guest star in the third season at San Diego Comic-Con 2012.[2]

She has also appeared in the television feature Prime Suspect: The Final Act (2006), the film An Education (2009), the miniseries The Diary of Anne Frank (2009) in the title role, and the stage production recording Shakespeare's Globe: Romeo and Juliet (2010). She also played Ivy Morris in the first season of the ITV drama Upstairs Downstairs in 2010 and Helen in the fifth season of Misfits in 2013.

Ironically, Kendrick played Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank (2009), while Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who plays her on-screen brother, played Young Adolf Hitler in Hitler: Rise of Evil (2003).

Although Kendrick plays the older sister of Thomas Brodie-Sangster's character, she was born two weeks after him.
