Biography[]
The High Septon left the Starry Sept in Oldtown on the orders of King Baelor I Targaryen to steward the Great Sept of Baelor. Baelor dressed him in ornate robes and a crown of crystal and gold, and the High Septon danced at the king's table. Following his death, Baelor chose increasingly unqualified successors, including a simple-minded stonemason and an eight-year-old boy.[1]
