An overview of Gender & Sexuality in Game of Thrones, from the position of academic medieval scholarship; comparing and contrasting with real Medieval Europe and with modern society - Westeros is sort of a hybrid of the two. The real Middle Ages didn't have a heterosexual/homosexual dichotomy, their conceptual categories of gender and sexuality were different from our own. Also some discussion of the other regions of the story such as the Iron Islands and the Dothraki.
