Matthew Scurfield (born February 2, 1948) is a British actor. He is the son of author and poet, George Bazeley Scurfield. In Game of Thrones, he portrayed Vayon Poole.
His past television roles include the Spanish guerilla fighter "El Matarife" in Sharpe's Honour, in the climax of which his character is killed in a brutal knife fight with Sean Bean, who co-starred in Game of Thrones with Scurfield as Eddard Stark.
