So I just finished watching season one, and I am a big fan. I would like to read the books, but I am wondering if I can start with book two? Part of the reason is that I really want to see what happens, so I am not eager to go over the same happenings that I just watched (I actually watched season 1 twice). Would it be a smooth transition? Would I be missing too much that possibly wasn’t covered in season 1? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Given where you are at I would say it is not the worst thing to jump in with A Clash of Kings. The first season is largely faithful to the first book but condenses some minor characters and leaves out some flashbacks but you should still be able to follow the book.--Opark 77 01:24, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
