"You know, your father once called Highpoint a keep for the gods. 'What stonework,' he said. 'What craftsmanship.' He wouldn't stop talking about it. If you ask me, I'd say he was envious."
Ludd Whitehill to Rodrik Forrester[src]

Highpoint is a stone castle situated in the North of Westeros. It is the seat of House Whitehill, staunch vassals of House Bolton.

History

Background

Highpoint, as it's name suggests, is situated upon a steep hill north of Winterfell. This hill was once covered by a dense ironwood forest, which was stripped bare. The barren hill then became the sigil of House Whitehill. It is at least a thousand years old.

"Iron From Ice"

After Ethan Forrester is murdered by Ramsay Snow, his younger brother Ryon is taken to Highpoint as Ludd Whitehill's ward.

"The Lost Lords"

Ser Royland Degore, while in the small council mentions that with Glenmores' army, they could burn Highpoint to the ground.

Gwyn Whitehill mentions to Rodrik that Ryon is safe at Hightpoint and that she is looking after him.

"The Sword in the Darkness"

After the small council meeting, Duncan Tuttle mentions that a voice from Highpoint, Gwyn, would like to speak to him.

"Sons of Winter"

Rodrik Forrester, Elissa Forrester, Royland Degore or Duncan Tuttle, and optionally the Glenmore Elite Guard visit Highpoint after receiving an invitation from Ludd Whitehill. Ludd describes Highpoint, boasting that Gregor Forrester was envious of it during the meeting.
