The Iron Bank of Braavos is the major bank of the Free City of Braavos. It is one of the main financial institutions of the Known World, with clients across Essos and Westeros, including the government of the King of the Andals and the First Men who rules over the Seven Kingdoms.

After taking over the role of Master of Coin, Tyrion Lannister discovers that the Iron Throne is heavily indebted to the Iron Bank of Braavos, who have a tradition of funding the enemies of rulers who fail to repay their debts.[1]
