Joseth Umber was the fifth born son of Lord Hothor Umber and his wife, Lady Amarylis Umber. On his eighteenth nameday, he married Katrina Cerwyn, with whom he had two children. He died at the age of forty from wounds sustained in a tourney melee.[1]
