Template:Conjecture Template:Sword Lion's Tooth is a sword owned by Prince Joffrey Baratheon. Its name is a reference to the sigil of House Lannister, a lion, the house of Joffrey's mother, Queen Cersei Lannister.
History
Season 1
It is thrown into the waters of the Trident by Arya Stark after the Prince attacks her and her friend Mycah with it and he is disabled by Nymeria. The sword is never recovered.[1]
Season 2
On the eve of the Battle of the Blackwater, Joffrey has it replaced with a new sword, Hearteater.[2]
In the novels
The sword is never recovered.
Later, in the third novel, Arya Stark inaccurately remembers the name of Joffrey's sword as "Lion's Paw" instead of "Lion's Tooth". George R.R. Martin has stated that he intended this mistake in-universe (it wasn't a typographical error), one of his points highlighting that the characters' memories are not infallible.
