In the ''[[A Song of Ice and Fire]]'' novels, her background remains the same. However, she is a fairly regular background character during the course of the first three books. As she is considered exceedingly dim and only being second in line for the inheritance of any lands or titles, there are no suitors for her hand and her mother, Lady Tanda is desperate to find a match for her, even relentlessly pursuing Tyrion for a time.
