Marco Pontecorvo (born 8 November 1966) is an Italian cinematographer. He has worked mostly as the director of photography on Italian projects, but also on some international productions, most notably on Rome, shot in the Cinecitta studios in Rome, Italy, establishing his connection to HBO.
Pontecorvo was a director of photography for the first season of Game of Thrones, who worked on the episodes "Lord Snow," "Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things" and "The Wolf and the Lion."
