Marco Pontecorvo (born 8 November 1966) is a cinematographer from Italy. He has worked mostly as the director of photography on Italian projects, but also on some international productions, most notably on Rome, shot in the Cinecitta studios in Rome, Italy, which is apparently when and where his connection to HBO was established.
Pontecorvo will be working as director of photography on the first season of Game of Thrones.
