Michele Clapton is a costume designer from England, who has worked in both film and TV. She has found the most success designing for television period dramas, having worked on the costumes for Sense & Sensibility, The Devil’s Whore, and The Diary of Anne Frank.

She is the lead Costume Designer on Game of Thrones.

On September 15, 2012 she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Costumes for a Series for her work on the second season of Game of Thrones (specifically the episode "The Prince of Winterfell"). It was the first Emmy award Clapton has received in her career.[1]. Clapton was also nominated for the the costume design Emmy for her work in Season 1 and Season 3 of Game of Thrones, but did not win.

On August 16, 2014, Clapton won her second Emmy Award for Outstanding Costumes for a Series, for her work on Season 4 of Game of Thrones (specifically the episode "The Lion and the Rose").[2]
