Biography
Background
Rhaella Targaryen was the sister wife of King Aerys II Targaryen. They had three children Rhaegar, Viserys and Daenerys.[1] House Targaryen was deposed as the ruling house of Westeros during Robert's Rebellion. Aerys and Rhaegar were killed during the rebellion while Rhaella fled to the family's ancestral seat Dragonstone with her youngest son Viserys. Rhaella died giving birth to Daenerys on Dragonstone during a great storm. After her death the children were taken to Essos to live in exile.[2]
