Sibel Kekilli (born 16 June 1980) is a German actress of Turkish descent. Kekilli acted in pornographic films before she rose to fame after an acclaimed performance in the 2004 German film Head-On, for which she won the Best Actress Award at the Lola Awards, Germany's highest film awards. She won the award a second time for the 2009 movie When We Leave.
In Game of Thrones Kekilli plays the role of Shae. She was announced in the role on 28 July 2010. She initially appeared as a guest star in the first season and joined the starring cast for the second season.
