When Jaime decides to return to Harrenhal to save Brienne from Locke, he forces Steelshanks to accompany him by threatening to dishonestly tell his father Tywin Lannister that Steelshanks is responsible for Jaime's missing hand, but also offers to lie and say he was the one who saved him.
