Departure

I feel slightly better about the show killing off Irri, now that it appears it was not a creative choice, but that their hands were forced because the actress had some problems with her work visa and couldn't stay in the UK. Seriously, we're a step away from Children of Men with the British building a great wall around their island and deporting all the 'fugees. Freedom in 2024! --The Dragon Demands 01:48, May 19, 2012 (UTC)

American immigration policy is hardly progressive. Our work visa system has gotten increasingly ridiculous recently. Turning away hard working, competent, foreign doctors is troubling here now.--Opark 77 01:53, May 19, 2012 (UTC)
Clarified: Acharia could have stayed on the show quite easily, but the producers decided to write her out for their own reasons.--Werthead (talk) 11:33, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
American immigration policy is hardly progressive
Especially with Trump (somehow) seeming to still be gaining ground. I wonder how he would fare in Westeros? Or any of the presidential candidates for that matter. Maybe SNL could do a skit about that - called "Game Of Podiums" or something (since "Game Of Chairs" is taken) :) Jimw338 (talk) 04:48, September 14, 2015 (UTC)
I've seen foreign press much amused by Trump's candidacy, but really he's thought of as just a joke candidate; even in the USA mass media is utterly amused that he's gotten as far as he did. He's not "doing well" in "the polls"; the Republican slate of candidates is so poor that the wacky joke candidate is outpolling them all - not a sign he'd do well in a general election.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 15:49, September 14, 2015 (UTC)
