I have change his status to unknow because fall into the water it didnt show that he is dead.

That's fine- I just figured since he fell into a sea full of Wildfire, the outcome would be rather bleak. --QueenBuffy35 Crown New Red 05:26, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Service BackgroundEdit

As somebody who used to be an illiterate smuggler, I wonder why Stannis Baratheon would employ Davos Seaworth as his lieutenant in both military command and administration. Sure, Davos saved Stannis' garrison at Dragonstone at a critical moment during the rebellion and has shown himself to have hidden depths as a negotiator and his murky past working with pirates may have gotten him some combat experience. But how is any of that enough reason to give Davos command of a section of Stannis' navy, or making him Hand of the King? --Fenrir51 (talk) 21:35, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

As for why he is given the naval command, I would say that it's because he is one of the few people whom Stannis trusts implicitly ("The red woman's influence" notwithstanding), and he has considerable naval experience of one kind or another. Just my humble opinion. InjuredGuardian (talk) 01:55, June 2, 2014 (UTC)

Hi! This is my first talk page here.

I was wondering where the editor who added the part about "Davos has several sons, including Matthos" found that out. From everything I can tell, Davos on the show only has one son, Matthos (as opposed to the book character, who has seven, or three left living at the end of the series). Does anyone have insight? Thanks! Vana of the Valar (talk) 19:06, June 24, 2014 (UTC)
