Given that the press release for Edmure Tully described him as "he has recently become Lord of Riverrun in the wake of his father's death", I suspect that Hoster Tully may have already died "off screen" in the TV show. Then again, Hoster might die in the Season 3 premiere...that seems more logical. Or that the description just got ahead of itself. Either way I wouldn't go so far as to say we should consider Hoster dead just yet, because the description isn't clear. We shall see.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 20:38, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

I agree that he has likely died off screen. I also agree that it is not 100% certain and we should hold off updating until the third season begins.--Opark 77 (talk) 12:15, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Arya Left Edmure In Jail or Is He Dead?

So Arya kills all of the Frey men while at The Twins. She must of known about her uncle Edmure being held captive there during her 2 weeks pretending to be Walder. Didn't she think to release her uncle before she left The Twins? Or is this foreshadowing that Edmure is already dead?

Yeah...I'm super pissed that the writers didn't think to address that little detail. I gotta tell you, my friends, I don't have a whole lotta hope for this season. I'm think D&D are letting the show's success go to their heads so bad, they don't care anymore.--Shaneymike (talk) 20:54, July 20, 2017 (UTC)

In the books he isn't even at the Twins, he was at Riverrun and sent to Casterly Rock. If anything the Season 6 line that he's in the dungeons there was a bit of an oversight (shrug) for all we know they sent him ahead to Casterly Rock when Jaime's Lannister soldiers left. Indeed, left with some of the Lannister soldiers. There's no way in the books that he's at the Twins for Arya to save. I'm not too concerned, he's probably just on his way to Casterly Rock at this point - still annoying, but other stuff much moreso.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 21:05, July 20, 2017 (UTC)
