The Kingdom of Mann and the Isles comparison with the old kingdom of the Iron Islands and the Riverlands in the background history of this series, are a pretty close approximation. It hardly contradicts George R.R. Martin's statement about the ironborn being comparable to the Vikings, since Mann and the Isles was a Viking political creation. --Fenrir51 (talk) 16:29, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
- It was just a bit too specific; "outer celtic fringe of the British Isles" i.e. Pictish raiders works better.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 17:06, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
I'm busy now, but an image of the ironborn should probably have them riding on a ship or at least near the sea, not riding horses.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 21:15, February 14, 2014 (UTC)
