Revisiting the Lords Paramount debate, in light of the last episode. Jason is addressed as "Lord Paramount of the West" (in capitals). - 08:40, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
- I may not have my facts straight, but was there not a Histories & Lore video that stated that each of the regions had their own Lord Paramount (with the exception of the Iron Islands and Dorne of course)? It is entirely possible that HOTD is simply sticking to the "show canon" established through Game of Thrones and its supplementary material (i.e. the Histories & Lore featurettes) rather than the "book canon" where it remains, to my understanding, unclear. If I have my facts wrong, then I suppose there are two options. First, Lord Paramount of the West could simply be a restating of Warden of the West. However, it also seems to me that the most objective thing to do would simply to add House Lannister and "Lord Paramount of the West" to the current list, and leave it at that, since the "Warden point" is still only an assumption I'm making. - It could just be a personal style of his, like "Master of Casterly Rock." In Game of Thrones Tywin was only styled as "Lord of Casterly Rock and Warden of the West." If it is bringing back all the Lord Paramount articles we deleted you're proposing, in episode 1 Rickon Stark only styled himself "Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North" not Lord Paramount of the North. We could create a "Lord Paramount of the West" article, but for now I've just added it to the infobox along with all the other Lannister titles and piped it to the generic "Lord Paramount" article. — (talk) 17:42, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
