Alt Clut, the original name for the medieval Kingdom of Strathclyde, was pretty specific. Strathclyde, which was dominated from the stronghold of Dumbarton Rock, was named for the location, which is sometimes referred to by historians as the "Kingdom of the Rock." --Fenrir51 (talk) 16:35, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
