Oberyn and Varys (spoilers)Edit
I wonder...the TV series already made a slight change back in Season 1 in the brief scene with Varys and Illyrio Mopatis in King's Landing that Arya overhears. In the books, she doesn't know either of the two men and the chapter is narrated from her POV so we have to rely on hints of who the two men were; the TV series showed this visually, making it more obvious that Varys is actually a secret Targaryen loyalist.
Similarly, might the TV series have an invented scene (which plausibly could have happened "off screen" in the books) in which Oberyn meets with Varys? This would make it more explicit to the TV-first viewers that the Martells are still Targaryen loyalists and that Dorne would rise in support of Daenerys the moment she sets foot in Westeros.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 15:43, July 26, 2013 (UTC)
"Oberyn eventually severs Clegane's hamstring, who falls over..." I believe he severed his Achilles tendon, not his hamstring. 126.96.36.199 14:50, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
I'll accept Oberyn's death better if Tyrion somehow manages to survive...
Name Consistency Edit
I take issue with the use of the name Oberyn to refer to Oberyn Martel,
yet "Clegane" or "the latter" to refer to Gregor Clegane, it is inconsistent.

- Oh I agree; I haven't even had a chance to touch up the character bios for season 4 yet. "The latter"? Yikes.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 00:55, June 8, 2014 (UTC)
Tywin and bastardy Edit
"When he introduces Ellaria to them, Tywin acts somewhat polite despite his distaste for bastards." I don't remember that Tywin said anything bad about bastards. Sure, he may look on them deprecative like any other Westerosi outside of Dorne, but in the novels he has a bastard-niece, Joy Hill, on Casterly Rock. By the way, Tywin has more political knowledge and experience that he would never allow a personal dislike affect him in that what he has to do. Even at this time Tywin wanted to please Dorne and bring them back into the realm, so I think the mentioned line should be changed! --Exodianecross (talk) 03:45, February 28, 2016 (UTC)
