De facto vs De jure
While the Lannisters have promised Riverrun to the Freys, de jure...de facto, it remains in the hands of the Tully garrison led by Brynden Tully. How should we address its flag affiliation? - Personally, I think it should remain purely Frey, the legal lords of Riverrun, until such time as the show addresses this. We don't yet know how the siege will play out, or indeed, if it will be included at all.--
