Dear God they've combined the Thenn with the Ice-river clans.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 23:37, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

But the Ice-river clans are still mentioned. They have kept that the Thenn's have better armor than most wildlings. Did you see the Magnar's armor?
Has there been any indication as to why this change was made? It seems a silly thing to do; I can understand wanting to show off the most brutal tribes within the army, but why mash two very different ones together? Why not just introduce the ice river clan for that purpose? Only thing I can think of is that maybe the name Thenn is a bit catchier, but they could have called them Ice Reavers as a nickname or something, since they're messing around the source anyway. I can understand changes that make for better adaptation to TV, but some of the changes made in Game of Thrones are just bewildering. Bit off-topic though. Anyway I couldn't find any comments by anyone on why this particular change was made, so I thought I'd ask if there was anything I'd missed? -- Haravikk (talk) 15:52, April 28, 2014 (UTC)

Pluralization[]

The TV show is using the pluralization "Thenns" - where they "Thenns" or "The Thenn" in the books?--The Dragon Demands (talk) 16:13, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

I think it can be both, depending on the context. From a wider cultural perspective, the Thenn people are the Thenn. On the other hand Styr's raiding party are a group of Thenns.--The-Boy 13:55, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
Screw it, based on TV show common usage, I'm moving it to "Thenns".--The Dragon Demands (talk) 16:06, November 15, 2014 (UTC)
