More exciting season 2 casting news abound! This time, the rumors of Gemma Whelan being cast as Yara Greyjoy have been confirmed, Nonso Anozie has been cast as Xaro Xhoan Daxos and Jaqen H'ghar will be portrayed by Tom Wlaschiha. Additionally, Kerr Logan will play Matthos Seaworth.
Gemma Whelan is a British actress and comedian who has appeared in films such as Gulliver's Travels and The Wolfman. In 2010 she won the Funny Women Variety Act at the Leicester Square Theatre for her character of Chastity Butterworth.

The Game of Thrones cameras are rolling again, as the cast and crew begins shooting the upcoming season 2, based on George R.R. Martin's second book in A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Clash of Kings. The filming will take place over the next 6 months. Myself, I can't wait for the second season to start.
Much of the series is filmed in the huge Paint Hall in Belfast (pictured to the right), but some of it is also done on location, both in Northern Ireland, including Saintfield Estate (again used as the Winterfell Godswood) or Downhill beach (which will become Dragonstone, the island where Lord Stannis Baratheon resides), as well as in other countries. Oliver Ford Davies (born 12 August 1939) is a British actor experienced with roles on both stage and screen. He is best-known for his role as Sio Bibble in the three Star Wars prequel movies, but has roles in many films such as Sense and Sensibility and Mrs. Brown. He has a successful stage career and won a Laurence Olivier Award in 1990 for his role in the play Racing Demon.

Entertainment Weekly has announced big casting news for the second season of Game of Thrones! Actors Stephen Dillane and Carice van Houten have been cast as Stannis Baratheon, brother of the late King Robert Baratheon, and Melisandre, the mysterious red priestess from the distant Asshai who is a member of Stannis's court.
Carice van Houten is a Dutch actress who has appeared in movies such as Valkyrie and Repo Men, while Stephen Dillane is a British actor who is now best known in the US for his role of Thomas Jefferson in HBO’s John Adams.
