I post this because I remember a lot of people asking "Is Ned really dead?" in season 1, so here's the truth for those who haven't read the books: yes, Robb is dead. Just like his father before him learned, honor earns you nothing in the Game of Thrones. Robb and Catelyn are dead and his rebellion at an end. Obviously, since he's dead.
Not sure about Talisa, though, since the character she's based on wasn't at the Red Wedding in the books. One of Robb's very rare good ideas was to leave her at Riverrun.
So the Lannisters have finally defeated the Starks. Then again I'm a Targaryen fan, so it's all the same to me.
My reaction is: Good ridance. Robb was an idiot and brought his death on himself. The only sad thing is that so many others had to die for his stupidity. I know that sounds a bit harsh, but the only thing worse than dying for your own mistakes is dragging hundreds if not thousand of others along with you.
I know some people think "But Robb loved Talisa! That's all that matters!" Stand of the ashes of all those who died at the Wedding and ask them if it was worth it for Robb's love. Ask the wives, mothers, fathers and children of all those who died if it was worth Robb's love for, as Lord Karstark put it so nicely, "his foreign bitch".
No, it wasn't. But at least he's dead and can't screw things up anymore.
So, thoughts, reactions?
