    Community Choice Awards

    December 20, 2012 by Kate.moon

    Hi,

We wanted to let you all know about a cool Wikia project called Community Choice Awards! We're basically picking some of the best entertainment movies, books, anime, etc of 2012 and asking the communities to vote for what they think should win!

We're reaching out because Game of Thrones has been nominated for Best TV Series and Best Character of 2012! If you think they should win, spread the word and come vote!

Feel free to add to the lists here if you think anything is missing and I hope you enjoy participating in the Community Choice Awards!

    Hi,

Over the past couple of months we have been developing and testing a related videos module on some wikis like Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Halo. During these tests we have been tracking the number of video plays as well as collecting community feedback. Last week, I wrote a blog about how Game of Thrones was getting the royal upgrade at Hall H for Comic-Con. Well, there's even more exciting news on the horizon. George R.R. Martin, the author of Game of Thrones, will be holding court at the Con as co-moderator!

Are you heading to SDCC this year? What other panels are excited for? You can see the full schedule at Comic-Con Wiki!

Need some more proof that Game of Thrones is currently the hottest show on TV? Comic-Con has upgraded its panel to Hall H, one of the biggest rooms at the convention and usually reserved for big name movies.

Game of Thrones panel will take place on Friday, July 13 while its popular sister show True Blood will take place on Saturday.

Fun Fact: Lost paved the way for TV shows to hold court in Hall H for the first time, and Game of Thrones may be the only cable show to get upgraded.

Are there any GoT Wikians going to Comic-Con this year? Let us know and RSVP to our party!

Breaking news! Game of Thrones has been officially renewed for a third season! Season 2 is off to a great start with high ratings for both the premiere and The Night Lands, retaining approximately 97% of its audience from The North Remembers.

The third season will also air 10 episodes, based on the first half of George R.R. Martin's A Storm of Swords. Season 3 and hypothetical Season 4 will encompass A Storm of Swords, since the epic fantasy is far too dense and long to be covered in a single season.

@GameofThrones, the official Twitter account, broke the great news this morning. Are you excited for more seasons?
