I'm confused... so why is a "Wight" not a White Walker. I mean.. look at the White Walker page- it's basically the same thing as a Wight? HELP! lol --QueenBuffy35 Crown New Red 08:19, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Renaming articles

Please don't rename an article without addressing the attendant links using the "What links here" feature under "My tools" at the bottom of the page. I disagree re: the High Septon article anyway so I have moved it back. The numbering convention you seem to favor is potentially problematic in that the first High Septon in the show is not the first High Septon so we may need to overhaul that at a later date.--Opark 77 22:25, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

I was thinking more about naming these articles, I don't know why I didn't stick with our usual convention for using first episodes. That would make for shorter titles. I will change them some time.--Opark 77 21:22, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

High Septon in Season 1

I can't check right now but will have a look tomorrow and get back to you.--Opark 77 21:22, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry I was slower than I said. Yes there was a septon on stage for Ned's execution and Ned does ask the High Septon to bear witness to his words so if you wanted to write him up as a High Septon character I would support that. Also I note that there are 5 kingsguard on stage. Ser Meryn Trant is absent as is Ser Jaime Lannister so we can infer that Boros, Mandon, Preston, Arys and the Hound are present.--Opark 77 17:44, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
I agree ^ -- 19:26, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

We originally went with Wildlings because that was all they were referred to as on screen. Now that Free Folk is established in the TV series renaming seems quite reasonable to me. Perhaps we should test the water with a vote on the articles talk page and then go ahead if it has consensus support. It will involve a massive amount of redirecting links.

With regards to Rattleshirt. We named it that when the casting was announced but now that he has been in the show he has only been referred to on screen as "Lord of Bones" similar to how R'hllor has not been used in the show. So I renamed it because Rattleshirt is meaningless to our target audience. Neither of them are proper names really, they are both nicknames. One he likes and one he doesn't.--Opark 77 17:38, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

House Serrett

House Serrett is up for deletion as it has no sources establishing it in the context of the show (See Talk:House Serrett). Can you add one?--Opark 77 13:47, June 14, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply on my talk page. Please can you add a source to the article stating the same.--Opark 77 16:47, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the source, I meant just an episode reference but what we have now is fine too.--Opark 77 10:06, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

Duels and events

An infobox and articles for duels sounds good to me. What would we have? Bronn vs Ser Vardis and Lord Eddard vs Ser Jaime are the ones that spring to mind. Oh, Jon vs Qhorin would qualify too I guess. So yeah there are enough to make it worthwhile.

As for the other events you mentioned; I like Massacre at the Red Keep, I think maybe Execution of Eddard Stark. I'm concerned that other editors might object as they did to the Jaime Lannister release one, but my personal opinion remains the same; these are worth having.--Opark 77 10:06, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

Pyat Pree

You implied that he was killed by Drogon in the books which is not the case therefore I deleted the that particular sentence.--{{SUBST:User:SGCommand/Sig|12:51,6/21/2012}}

Hey! Since I am gone from TB Wiki, I was thinking of coming over to the Buffy Wiki. What all needs to be done? I noticed new infobox pics would be nice. Also... ever thought about a new main page?? with Featured sections? Cast portals? Etc? Let me know! :) --QueenBuffy35 Crown New Red 03:40, July 5, 2012 (UTC)

Any chance you can come on chat so we can co-ordinate writing articles for new cast members?--Opark 77 22:27, July 13, 2012 (UTC)

I was wondering why my addition of Aerys' Kingsguard was removed? Draevan13 (talk) 22:10, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

It should have been moved to "in the books", not removed entirely.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 01:15, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

Why do you keep using apostrophes as full quotation marks? (Why did you redirect the link I was pointing out)?

This should only be done in the case of a quote within a quote. This wiki conforms to standard American English, and unlike British English, regular quotations must be made only with full quotation marks. I've been fixing these whenever I see them. --The Dragon Demands (talk) 00:14, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

Because its the style employed in the books and in AWoIaF.--Gonzalo84 (talk) 15:56, July 21, 2012 (UTC)
....what edition were you reading? No. The Wiki of Ice And Fire may itself be in error (or rather, no one has gotten around to making such corrections yet). But we shouldn't cite other wikis.-->I have just checked my own books, and they use standard double-quotation marks. I would assume that the international adaptation versions of the books used non-American English punctuation...but that's just a localization. No more correct than referring to the series as "Trone de Fer". "the books", as George R.R. Martin wrote them, use quotation marks for quotes and titles, single-mark apostrophes are only used for quotes within a quote. --The Dragon Demands (talk) 16:09, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

I read that as the beard was partially by accident, as Pycelle tried to get away.--Opark 77 (talk) 23:37, August 24, 2012 (UTC)

Testing new videos page

Hey there - I wanted to check in with you about whether game of thrones would be ok with testing a new video landing page. Since you already have the related videos module, we thought game of thrones was a good choice. This will add a link to video in the nav on the wiki tab, and will look like the picture here. Let me know if the community would be ok with that here. --Sarah@fandom (help forum | blog)17:42, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah I realized moments after undoing the edit, hence why I changed it back to your version and apologized. Thanks for the note though.--Opark 77 (talk) 17:44, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

Hello. I'm a brazilian journalist writing a piece about the speculations surrounding G.R.R.M'S The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. Could I send you a couple of questions on the subject? Thanks a lot!

Hi. You guys seem to have a vandal:

I already reverted one of their edits in a template ( but their edits on Fire and Blood (for example I cannot change, because it looks like I am singling this user out for personal attacks.

I hope you (or one of the other admins) can take care of this!

Regards, MaisonJinkies (talk) 09:57, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you so much for useful information anxiously awaiting the new season on tv

Even I do this sometimes but you've been doing it a couple of times in the past day; you've been linking to "Riverlands" instead of "the Riverlands". I realize it makes no real difference.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 02:23, December 1, 2012 (UTC)

I was wondering why my edit to the Shadow page was undone. Draevan13 (talk) 14:20, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

I've been taking your advice and I've put serious work into the Iron Throne room page. I hope it is good enough now, but I still plan to put more work into it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 00:22, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

Great Hall

Thank you for changing the title of the page. Someday I will learn how to upload photos and will be able to put in those galleries. Ch'vyalthan (talk) 04:14, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Welcome

Hey, thanks for the welcome! Phádraig (talk) 14:23, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Damon Marbrand

Okay, sorry about that. I was going my what I saw on Loras' page, but I see you've corrected that as well. Thanks. The Knight of the Flowers 16:47, December 16, 2012 (UTC)

Wounded Lannister

I left a message on the talk page, but didn't get a response. For Wounded Lannister, I put in the scene where Talisa goes to Robb to talk to him about getting medical supplies. She says that she especially needs "milk of the poppy"; she reminds him that he saw how difficult it is to amputate a foot without it, and there will be more amputations before the war is done.

This is an obvious reference to Wounded Lannister, why was it edited out.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 02:15, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

I'm having Westeros Anxiety! Configuring pages is very difficult for me! Thanks for the "raven" welcoming me. Eyehavenofilter.

Bran is referred to as 'Brandon' once, in the very first episode. Catelyn yells "BRANDON!" when she sees him on the rooftops. However, I fully agree that he should be listed as 'Bran'. There are way too many 'Brandons' and the article titles are getting a little silly with all the qualifiers. 'Brandon Stark' should be Eddard's brother and Bran the Builder should be 'Brandon Stark (the Builder)'. All IMO of course.--Werthead (talk) 21:16, December 28, 2012 (UTC)

Good catch (I'm too busy to rewatch a comprehensive marathon right at the moment). Oh, well I'm all for easy of reference, if you want to retitle the article itself "Bran Stark"....just so long as it is accepted that "in the TV series continuity", his name is officially "Brandon" (and we note this at the beginning of his biography, etc.). --The Dragon Demands (talk) 21:50, December 28, 2012 (UTC)

Golden Crown

I did the last unfinished scene, I thought I had put in all the links. I studied another recap and it didn't seem to have a lot of links, the links all seem to be on the main episode page. I could go through and add more photos if you think I need to. I'll give it another read through and see if I can add anything.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 04:11, December 29, 2012 (UTC) PS I'm starting to work on another Complete Guide to Westeros segment. I'll post when I'm done.

Thanks for the reminder to double check, because I had forgot something-I didn't put in the categories. So I put them in. I also did another read through tweaking it and adding lines here and there. And I put in more links and photos. Let me know if you spot anything else.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 07:09, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

OK, another three hours, but I think I addressed all your concerns. I doubt I'll be starting another recap anytime soon, these things are long and the last week has been excruciating. Ch'vyalthan (talk) 00:03, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Welcome

Thank you. The Bastard of Bolton (talk) 11:39, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

Is there anything I can do to be helpful? The Bastard of Bolton (talk) 13:14, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I'll undo them, but the box at the top of their character pages show their alligence, and it clearly shows that Willis Woode owes his alligence to House Tully and House Whent.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 18:21, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

When I was going through the characters about half of them had already been added to the catagories of the Houses they were in service to, I just put into catagories the ones that hadn't been added. What are the rules? Do they have to be nobles? What if they are in military service to a House? If all of them are wrong I'll be happy to go in and change all of them (the ones I did and the ones done by others), please let me know what reasons would justify being added to a House catagory, because there seems to be obvious inconsistencies. Ch'vyalthan (talk) 18:34, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I was just looking at Colen Greenpools, I changed his catagory from House Baratheon to House Baratheon of Storm's End, since he was in service to Renly in the War. Now, Dragon has changed it to House Baratheon Renly Baratheon for his alligence is this something new as well.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 18:42, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I better wait until I hear back from you before I do something else that is wrong.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 18:42, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

That's true, ultimately everyone owes alligence to the king, but still what is the current operating system. Do I give alligence to the House of which they are directly in service? Then Willis Wode would be in House Whent and not House Tully. Is it just military service or do they have to have noble rank? Or do they have to be nobles of that house? Do you want me to take out the small folk of Winterfell even though their information boxes say Alligence : House Stark? Let me know exactly so I won't be mistaken in the future about the Houses Catagories.

Also, are we calling it House Baratheon Renly Baratheon now instead of House Baratheon Storm's End and should I take alligence to House Tully out of Willis Woode's information box? Let me know so I can fix this stuff.Ch'vyalthan (talk) 19:05, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I left a message for Opark, but haven't heard back from him. Do you do page backgrounds/color schemes, etc? With Season 3 approaching we will need something besides this gold and black. I am thinking keep the grey and white.. maybe add a light blue..something to do with wildlings? Anyway, let me know if you even do layouts. If not, I will contact Wikia :) QueenBuffy35 Crown New Red 20:36, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I will have a look. Unsure of how to do the background image, perhaps that is indicated in the tools also. Thanks :) QueenBuffy35 Crown New Red 20:59, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Driftmark

It's mentioned in Monica Velaryon's entry in the Lineages book. The categories were a simple mistake, as I was fairly new to this wiki at the time. Also, I couldn't help but notice your message on the bastard of Bolton's page... I must say I was pretty taken aback. For starters, he didn't create that article at all, Opark did. Secondly, threatening to BAN someone over something so utterly harmless is heavy-heavy in the most extreme sense of the word, and is really not acceptable behavior for an administrator. This really was an total error in judgement on your part, and doesn't reflect well on you at all. The Knight of the FlowersRainbowguard 07:01, December 31, 2012 (UTC)

You misunderstood what I said. The Bastard of Bolton didn't create the Iornborn messanger article you accused him of creating, Opark did. I never denied writing the Driftmark article, in fact I specifically said I did. And, yes I've been at Wookiepedia, and yes they are ruthless. I can see that you've experienced that first hand. All the same, I think you should message him back, and clarify that you made a mistake. The Knight of the FlowersRainbowguard 12:34, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
