WelcomeEdit

Hi, welcome to Game of Thrones Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the A Golden Crown recap page.

We welcome all contributions to the Wiki but please be aware of the following simple rules:

1) This wiki is meant for the Game of Thrones TV series and the TV alone. Spoilers from the novels are not permitted at all. Discussion of earlier events in the novels and the use of non-spoiler background material from the novel as regards specific events, characters and places in the TV series are allowed (in the 'In the books' section of an article) but future events cannot be discussed.

2) This wiki has specific permission from HBO's marketing department to use a reasonable number of promotional images and screencaps from the series to illustrate articles. The use of other copyrighted images is not permitted without either specific permission or fair use attributions. For example, this Wiki cannot use Amoka's portrait images or Ted Nasmith's castle pictures as these are copyrighted. In addition, the Wiki is focused on the TV series and TV series alone. Images from other media should be avoided without a very good cause.

Enjoy your editing and please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Gonzalo84 (Talk) 01:55, February 15, 2013

Image/FileEdit

Why do you keep replacing "image" with "file" for thumbnail images?--The Dragon Demands (talk) 15:55, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

Should I be replacing File with Image instead? I've seen it both ways, but mostly File, so that's why I replaced Image with File. Kruziikrel (talk) 04:07, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
I don't "officially" know, but I think it should be "image". I use "image" (unless absent-mindedly copy-pasting something else). On what basis do you say that "most" are "file"? I observe that most are "image". --The Dragon Demands (talk) 23:06, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
I went to Special:AllPages and just viewed each pages contents to see if they have spelling errors, formatting errors or anything that didn't match up. I don't know if it matters if an image is written "image" or "file". I did view the image policy and nothing is noted about it, but since I came across more that had File displayed than Image, I changed them, thinking it was right, but then again I haven't gone through all pages on the wiki yet. Don't worry, I won't make anymore unnecessary changes if it's not needed. I'm just trying to be helpful. Kruziikrel (talk) 02:44, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
