Vayon Poole is an minor character in the first season. He is played by Matthew Scurfield. He was first mentioned in "The Kingsroad" and only appears in "The Pointy End." Poole serves House Stark as the Steward of Winterfell.
Biography
Background
Poole serves House Stark as the Steward of Winterfell. He is the father of Jeyne Poole, a friend of Sansa Stark.
Season 1
When Maester Luwin approaches Catelyn Stark to talk about the costs of the royal visit to Winterfell the need to replace the members of the household that accompanied Lord Eddard to King's Landing, she, grieving for her son, tells Luwin to have Vayon Poole see to the task. Luwin notes that Poole also went south with Lord Stark.[1]
Vayon Poole was killed by Lannister men during the purge of the Stark household ordered by King Joffrey after Lord Stark tried to remove him from the Throne.[2]
